‘TOILET TALK’ limbo art space, Margate May 2013
As part of the ‘Happenings’ event curated by Emily Sharp i performed ‘Toilet Talk’. A pipe was fed into the toilet cubicle down which i delivered poems from above on the fire escape stairs, reading from my 10 exes collection and others. The piece explored amongst other ideas the invasion of privacy by an intrusive voice and the consumption of poetry out of usual context. This piece was a precursor to an evening performance in the gallery space of spoken word with Francesca Flowers on cello and Tom Swift on guitar
