2012 commission for ‘Craftspace’ organisation and the NEC Birmingham. The Craftspace charity were gifted a stand at the Clothes Show Live to raise awareness of their work in the Midlands area. The exhibition stand was used as a frame for a piece of textile sculptural work that utilised donated spoiled clothing. The clothing was cut into yarn and woven through the space to create spaces within the stand. The nature of the piece was part comment on the fashion industry’s production of waste and the entrapment of the consumer model in which it exists. The piece was built live during the show with the help of volunteers, culminating in the stand being quite impossible to access.
