Commissioned by the Folkestone Creative Foundation for Folkestone Triennial 2017 to work alongside Bob and Roberta Smith to deliver a series of workshops as action/agency to his call to arms ‘Folkestone is an art school’. A development of ideas of empowerment through creativity that has informed parts of my socially engaged arts practice.
Positive Protest was a series of workshops working with the schools and the general public to develop positive messages to share publicly in support of creativity. Attendees looked at type, colour, word play, type as image, typography as local identity.
